Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the CounselFlow platform. By using CounselFlow, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: March 2026
1. The service
CounselFlow is a practice lifecycle management platform designed for barristers practising in Ireland. The platform provides case management, task and event management, fee tracking, document generation, contact management, and reporting tools.
2. Eligibility and accounts
CounselFlow is intended for use by practising barristers and legal professionals in Ireland. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
3. Early access programme
During the pre-launch period, barristers may apply for early access to CounselFlow. Submitting an application does not guarantee access. Applications are reviewed and approved at CounselFlow’s discretion.
Successful applicants — those whose applications are approved — receive the following benefits in exchange for practical feedback:
- Free access until the platform launches publicly.
- 6 months of free access from the date of public launch.
- A discounted subscription thereafter.
These benefits apply only to approved applicants and are subject to continued participation in the early access programme. CounselFlow reserves the right to modify or discontinue the early access programme at any time, with reasonable notice to participants.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you enter into CounselFlow. CounselFlow acts as a data custodian, not a data owner. You may export your data at any time. Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that data you enter into CounselFlow complies with your own professional obligations regarding client confidentiality and data protection.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its security features.
- Share account credentials with third parties.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform beyond your own data.
6. Document generation
CounselFlow generates skeleton documents from data you have entered. These documents are templates and drafts intended to assist your work — they are not legal advice and do not constitute a finished legal product. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and finalising any document before use.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep CounselFlow available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. Where possible, planned maintenance will be communicated in advance.
8. Limitation of liability
CounselFlow is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CounselFlow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
CounselFlow is a practice management tool and does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice. You remain solely responsible for the conduct of your practice and for any professional decisions made using data from the platform.
9. Account closure
You may close your account at any time through the platform settings. Upon closure, your data is retained for 90 days to allow for recovery, then permanently deleted.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.
10. Pricing and payment
Pricing for CounselFlow subscriptions will be published at public launch. Prices may change with reasonable notice. Early access benefits (free access periods and discounted subscriptions) will be honoured as described at the time of approval for successful applicants.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or by email with reasonable notice. Continued use of CounselFlow after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of CounselFlow shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
13. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, please contact us through the CounselFlow platform.
